ABOUT BRENTORA
A small practice built around one kind of groundwork
We help reporters prepare properly, then step back and let them do the reporting.
OUR STORY
Started from a trip that went sideways
Brentora began after a founding colleague spent three days chasing a story across two counties with no plan for what to do if a contact went quiet or a road closed. The reporting still happened, but it happened harder than it needed to.
Since then, the work has stayed narrow on purpose: helping reporters think through the logistics, the paperwork and the judgment calls before they're standing in the middle of them, rather than after.
We are based in Kericho and work with reporters travelling from and through most parts of Kenya, always inside methods that hold up in daylight.
WHAT WE VALUE
01
Lawful, always
Every method we recommend is one we'd be comfortable describing to a magistrate. We won't suggest a shortcut that isn't one.
02
Specific over general
We ask about the actual place you're going, the actual roads and the actual contacts, rather than handing over a generic checklist.
03
No pressure to buy more
One session is often enough. We say so when it is, and we're honest when a longer engagement would serve you better.
